Innovative inspection systems for mechanical and plant engineering
Optimize your production processes with our modern inspection systems - tailor-made or as an integration of proven third-party products.

Process optimization
with iP-eye
The iP-eye is a process inspection system that uses one or more cameras to monitor processes and automatically detect and prevent process faults.
The high modularity of the iP-eye makes it possible to use the system not only as a classic process inspection system, but also as a maintenance inspection system. This means that critical elements can be predictively inspected for signs of wear and a warning can be issued if the degree of wear is too high.
The iP-eye can also be used as part of a stacking or sorting system. The iP-eye detects incorrectly arranged parts and sends a corresponding signal back to the automation system.
The system is operated via a user-friendly and intuitively designed HMI. No special training is required to use the system - it can be operated by anyone after a 10-minute introduction.
The iP-eye has an interface to the production system that processes the system's output signal and reacts accordingly to the return value. For example, actions such as an immediate stop or a stop at the end of a cycle can be triggered.
The iP-eye was developed using the LVMEN Vision Application Framework.

Quality control
with iQ-eye
The iQ-eye is a quality inspection system that uses a camera and a lighting unit to monitor the quality of the manufactured product and automatically detects and reports quality defects.
The system is operated via a user-friendly and intuitively designed HMI. No special training is required to use the system - after a 10-minute introduction, it can be operated by anyone.
The iQ-eye has an interface to the process controller (system or automation), which processes the system's output signal and reacts accordingly to the return value. Possible actions include, for example, an immediate stop, a stop at the end of the cycle or the automatic ejection of faulty products.
The iQ-eye was developed with the LVMEN Vision Application Framework.

Integration and retrofitting of inspection systems
In addition to the integration of our own products, we are experts in the integration and retrofitting of inspection systems from other manufacturers.
We integrate inspection systems of all kinds into your plant and into your automation and operating concept. From conception to commissioning.
Vision Application Framework
The Vision Application Framework is characterized by intuitive operation and high performance. The user can create and manage more than 10,000 recipes. In addition, the system enables up to 12 inspection tasks to be carried out simultaneously, which can be individually parameterized. This means that both global inspection tasks and detailed inspections can be carried out on the same system.
Up to 6 cameras can be used per system to inspect processes or components from different angles. The 12 inspection tasks can be flexibly distributed across the 6 cameras or, if only one camera is connected, concentrated on this one.
Each inspection task is configured with just a few parameters, eliminating the need for time-consuming training. The results of the last 1,000 triggered inspections are displayed graphically for each inspection task, enabling an initial trend assessment.
The values and images recorded by the inspection system can be retrieved at any time via a dedicated REST interface.
Technology
Hardware
We only use hardware components that meet German industry standards for our products. We work closely with leading manufacturers in the fields of electrics, automation and vision.

Software
We also rely on proven industry standards for our software. For PLC sequence control, we use software from well-known brands that are established in German industry. For image processing, we rely on the HALCON framework from the experts at MVTec.
The individual software components are orchestrated and operated via the Vision Application Framework - an in-house development by LVMEN GmbH.
By using the Vision Application Framework, we combine industrially established software components with a high degree of customization. This enables us to implement your specific requirements with appropriate speed and quality.
